Principal's Message

Dear Bulldog families:

The Bulldog faculty and staff are excited to welcome all our students and families to the 2021-2022 school year. We are also overjoyed to return to full in-person learning this year! We have thoroughly missed seeing all of our students on campus. Although we will return to full in-person learning, there are still specific protocols and safety procedures that we as a school and community MUST adhere to. These safety measures will allow us to not only stay open the entire 2021-2022 school year, it will also ensure all students, families, faculty and staff members are safe! As the opening of school gets closer, please be on the lookout for additional information about upcoming events and other important school related information. Continue to enjoy the remainder of your summer, stay safe, and REMEMBER to check your Parent Square account for emails and information.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ALL students are able to receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2021-2022 school year. To allow our school and district to continue to receive funding, please fill out the Alternate Income Form (English/ Spanish) even if your child will eat breakfast and/or lunch at school or not. 

Helpful Information:  

  • View Superintendent Flores' past Friday letters on the GUSD website
  • Our schools will be reopening at full capacity. 
  • Students must wear masks upon entering campus, exiting, and while indoors.
  • Closed campus: No parent volunteers, only students are allowed on campus
  • Office Hours: Our office is now open from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Beginning Monday, August 16th, office hours will be 7:30-4:00. If you would like to avoid waiting please call and make an appointment. ( 669) 205-4600


Current Safety Measures:

  • Reopening GUSD Information
  • All students and staff are required to wear masks indoors at all times
    • Gaiters or scarves are NOT PERMITTED
  • Student masks MUST be worn during arrival, dismissal, indoors, transitioning to and from class and inside the restroom
    • With parental permission ONLY, students may have their mask off during recess, lunch, and P.E.
      • Please ensure YOUR child understands that they MUST have parent permission to have their mask off while at recess, lunch, and P.E.
  • Handwashing stations will continue to be used and placed around the school
  • Students should bring their own water bottles to school
    • Water fountains and bottle filling stations will be closed
  • Additional lunch tables will be ordered to allow for additional seating for students when eating lunch (a delivery date is not known at this time)
  • Parent Volunteers are not allowed on campus or in classrooms to help in the school at this time

August 16: Class lists posted in the office window after 5:00 p.m.
August 16: Arrival and dismissal procedures video shared with parents via Parent Square at 5:00 p.m.
August 17: In-person Kindergarten Orientation for parent and kinder students ONLY, @ 5:30 (additional information to come)
August 18: First Day of School!! (see bell schedule below)
August 24-26: In-person 1st-5th grade Back to School Night for parent ONLY, no students (additional information to come)
Bell Schedule: Students may enter campus no earlier that 7:45
